This is the first part of a 4-part storyline called "Batman: Imposters." The Joker appears to be infecting Gotham citizenry with a watered-down "Joker juice" that creates violent mobs instead of dead bodies.

McDaniel's strong graphics organize his pages to tell the story with as much hyper-activity as seems possible. Each element is strongly defined, as if McDaniel is determined nothing will go unnoticed. Lots of figure distortion and consistently "bent" perspectives make for vibrant, undulating images.
