Richmond, Virginia, May 2008
Areas around RIchmond can be swampy, and especially over summer, the peak months (JUly, August) the humidity seems to be perfect for dusk-time mosquito swarms. Obviously proximity to standing water can have a huge effect on weather mosquito's ambush you in Richmodn or in any of the environs nearby.
This long-legged mosquito image is from Chesterfield County, to the south-west of Richmond but still within the metropolitan area.
