John Bolton Curse of the Werewolf

Page from the John Bolton adaptation of "Curse of the Werewolf" from Hammer's House of Horror #1, March 1978
John Bolton Artwork Curse of the Werewolf A

Bolton's style was influenced by the top-tier fantasy comic book artists of the 60s and 70s, mainly Frazetta when it comes to figure handling. But his inking style - - the crosshatching and the general blacking - - reminds me directly of British military comic books. They were sparsely distributed into the United States, but were available in Europe in either the original English or in translated versions (I have some that are in Greek.)

See another page from John Bolton's adaptation of the Curse of the Werewolf Hammer movie.
