Harvey Pekar: The Quitter, art by Dean Haspiel

From THE QUITTER published by DC Comics, 2005 - PAGE C

Pekar reminisces about his experience of the underground cartoonist movement in the 1960s, particularly about his experiences knowing Robert Crumb and their mutual affection for old records. Pekar specialized in jazz music criticism, and this is a featured subject within the story as an example of his molding an identity apart from simple street fighting, another main topic of this book.

There is a certain irony of Pekar's ink and paper avatar in the second to last panel announcing that ACTION COMICS is "crap" - - in a book published by DC Comics.
