The 1986 “Dark Knight Returns” Issue # (series was originally titled 'Hunt the Dark Knight,' judging by inscriptions on the original art pages) 3, Page 10 Splash Art auctioned at $448,125.00 USD to become the single most valuable piece of American comic art to ever sell; eclipses the previous record of $380K for the Frank Frazetta cover to Weird Fantasy #29.
