The smoke from the fireworks display eventually filled up the southeast side of the park, turning the air into a foggy place full of shadows. Richmond Byrd Park in Virginia.

Viewing was limited by one's position to the trees. The best viewing was fromt he long open area between the groves leading up to the Carillon Tower.
