The Riddler's Hitch - Art by Brian Bermejo, Joker Graphic Novel

The city scenes of the story are articulated by Mick Gray. The fussy-die are a cliche, but so is some of the scenes in the story which seem influenced by Martin Scorsese's "Goodfellas." But we've only got some 120 pages and these things act like short cuts so that we can spend more time on the characterization work, which is where Azzarello's JOKER really excels.
The Joker on a ride through Gotham - Lee Bermejo

"The Riddler's Hitch" is a throw-away line, but it is small touches like that which flesh out the story. Given more space, I think Azzarello would be capable of something even more ambitious.
