Amanda Conner artwork from Supergirl page: Wednesday Comics #9

I cobbled these scans together from one of the large (20" x 14") Amanda Conner pages fromthe DC Comics' series Wednesday Comics. Though the printing is well done, the paper itself is truly newsprint, and so there is significant bleed through (you can see it in this scanning). Hopefully DC will publish a nice package of all the work on better paper at some point.

Conner's style is straightforward and looks simple, but is completely thought out with a sense of iron-clad proportion and a solid (but cartoony) anatomical system. The edge of goofy fun in Amanda Conner's presentation would not look out of place in an Archie comic.

The coloring work by Paul Mount is a wide, wide mix of comic book prime colors, well done with nice accenting on the figures.
