DM: No. Tell me, tell me. Matt: Well, as you may or may not know, the original Captain America was shot and killed last year... DM: Hmm Matt: ...by his brain-washed girlfriend. Sal: I thought it was a gang-shooting. DM: That's why I don't want... I don't read comics anymore. Just the sentence is so saddening to me, 'Captain America was shot by his girlfriend.' Matt: So his old teen partner from World War Two , Bucky... DM: Yeah... Matt: ...gonna be the new Captain America. DM: I thought Bucky was killed by the Red Skull years ago. Matt: Well, so everybody thought, but actually, when Cap plunged into the artic at the end of World War Two... Sal: Yeah, I remember that... Matt: ...Bucky did as well, was later kidnapped and brain-washed by the Russians to become an assassin. Sal: Like the Manchurian Candidate... Matt: But now he got his old memories back... Sal: Uh huh Matt: He's gonna be the new Captain America... DM: Well, alright, that rolls out tomorrow. I don't know, I can't partake, it's such a part of my childhood, I used to love back then, uh, Cap would team with Namor periodically, and uh... Sal: Namor was so cranky... DM: Eh, well, Namor had wrinkled skin, he was underwater all day long, how many days can you turn an eel into a walking stick before it gets boring? |
