Gerry Alanguilan (superhero fans know him especially from his frequent work inking for Leinil Yu) is putting together an art auction to benefit Komikeros (comic creators) in the Philippines who've been dispossessed by the Ondoy Typhoon that has caused flooding and at least 280 deaths in the Manila area (over a months worth of rainfall hit the area, all of it dropping in the space of a few hours). Alanguilan already has something on ebay (A Will Eisner piece) and is seeking more help. Alanguilan's web site here.
From Alanguilan's site:
"(Sept. 30 Update 3): I’m receiving reports of many comics people whose homes got submerged underwater during the typhoon. These include Carlo Vergara, Gilbert Monsanto, Jay David Ramos, Rico Rival, Danny Acuña, Jun Lofamia, Clem Rivera, and Noly Zamora. Steve Gan had his printing press submerged under flood waters as well."

Page from Rick Geary's The Bloody Benders, another volume in his NBM published graphic novels that examine famous criminal cases.
